Operation: Shower

Summary:  Nikola had a plan…which kinda backfired.

It had been a brilliant plan, but somewhere in the execution . . . I had failed.  No matter, next time I'll have more tests in regards to the side effects of green goop.  As it turns out . . . it kind of burns.  Or I should have worked out the kinks of the deployment mechanism.  It kind of exploded prematurely.

Operation:  Shower was a bust (a painful bust as I had the unfortunate opportunity of finding out).  The plan was to make a sticky substance, put it in a mysterious box that simply begged to be opened and lay it out for Helen and me to happen across it and examine it.  The result was to be covered in the substance which would require a shower to get it off, and the gentleman that I am, I would assist Helen in making sure all of it was gone.
However, I found out Goop Boxes do not like to be jostled and I was currently in the shower by myself trying to get it out of my hair and off my skin before it decided to eat my face off.  I was cursing the chemical properties of the products I had used for the goop (technical term, that) when there was another hand in my hair.  I froze, not having heard them enter, and not entirely sure who had entered.  I would have looked but I was too terrified to open my eyes lest the accursed substance struck me blind.  Strike me blind?  Damn . . . I think the fumes might be affecting me.

I remained completely still, eyes screwed shut as the hands started running through my hair.  "What is this?" I heard and immediately relaxed.

"It's goop," I said in reply to Helen's question.

"What kind?"

"Oh, just this and that."

"That would explain why it hurts."

"You have no idea."

We were silent, aside from the occasional "ow", as Helen washed my hair and I worked on my face.  It seemed Operation:  Shower wasn't a complete bust.
