Vivian knew she should have gone to Bones about her wounds, but the good doc was currently dealing with Ryne who was in one of his moods.  Bones needed to stay with her incubus brother to make sure nothing happened.  So that was why the Wingéd was currently in her quarters, trying to get out of her bloodied clothes without causing more damage.  The mission had started out just fine, but the natives took one look at her wings and they immediately tried to kill her.  Vivian was rather surprised her wings were still attached to her back.

The dried blood had made the fabric stick to her shredded skin and she whimpered as it pulled.  After Vivian was free of the clothes, she stepped into the bathroom and turned on the water.  While she waited for it to get hot, she looked at the damage done to her by the crude weapons.  The knives had sliced clear through to the bone is some places, and none of the cuts were clean, thanks to the jagged blades.  She whimpered, fingers gently probing her bleeding shoulder, as she tried to heal herself.   As the steam begun to envelop her, she realized there was just too much and she wouldn't be able to do it on her own.

"Daddy would have been able to do it," she said under her breath.  "He would have been able to heal me."

"You could heal in the medical bay."

Vivian yelped at the sudden voice behind her.  Forgetting that she was currently naked, she turned to glare at Spock.  "What are you doing here?"

"Jim said you were hurt.  I went to check on you, but you were not in the med bay."

"No, I ain't.  Bones is with Ryne, and I didn't want to bother him.  And my eyes are up here, Vulcan."

"I was looking at the extent of damage," Spock replied, but his eyes flicked to hers with a guilty green blush.

"Right.  Well, you've seen, now would you kindly go?  I need to take a shower."

"You will bleed to death if you do so.  Please, Miss Durham, let Doctor McCoy heal you."

"No.  He's with Ryne."

"Mister Lassiter is fine.  This stubbornness of yours is illogical.  You will die if you do not receive medical attention immediately."

Now that Vivian's anger had abated slightly from hearing her brother was back to normal, she noticed the darkness starting to encroach on her vision.  Her legs were getting weak.  Her breath was coming short.  "Damn," she said as everything went black.

"Dammit, Spock, I'm a doctor not a miracle worker."

"I have seen you successfully perform surgeries that any other doctor would not even attempt."

"Those were different.  I'm surprised Vivian's lived even this long."

"Len, what she needs in order to heal isn't your fancy medical stuff.  Don't give me that look.  You know I have every respect for your trade.  It's just that's not what will fix her.  What she needs it kinda like a knight in shining armour.  Also known as a sacrifice."

"We ain't killin' anybody, Ryne."

"We don't have to kill anybody.  All she needs is some energy which only requires a little bit of blood loss."

Vivian could hear a pause in the conversation, but she was too weak to open her eyes.

"How much is a little bit," she heard Bones ask.

"Just a cut so she can get access to the blood stream.  All she needs to do it touch it and she'll start drawing in power.  The source will be weak but as long as she doesn't tap into their lifeforce, they will stay alive."

"I am the strongest one here, Doctor McCoy.  It is only logical that I am the one to assist her."

"Logical.  Yeah, you just keep tellin' yourself that, Spock.  Fine, give me your arm."

Then Vivian felt someone take her hand and place it over the cut on Spock's arm and she immediately started taking his energy, combining it with her own, and sending it to her wounds.  New cells formed, creating tissue to replace the damaged muscles and skin.  Veins, arteries, and nerves reconnected and the sides of the gashes fused together, leaving only faint lines to show that anything had happened.
When Vivian opened her eyes, her vision was unfocused, but after a moment, everything was clear again.  She looked up at Spock to see his face had paled.

"You didn't have to do that," she said quietly.

"It was . . . logical.  You are a member of this crew, and therefore should be taken care of."

Vivian gave a small laugh when she saw Ryne roll his eyes and Bones facepalmed.  "Right.  Logical.  Okay, I'm really tired.  Can I sleep?"

"Come on, lover boy," Bones drawled, clamping his hand on the Vulcan's shoulder.  "Let the princess get some rest."  Spock didn't get to respond as Bones practically dragged him out.

Ryne grinned and dropped a kiss on his sister's forehead.  "You'll have your pointy eared bastard soon enough, Vivi."  He dodged the pillow she threw at him and ran out after his cynical doctor.
Vivian gets hurt and Spock is there to help her heal.
